Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Leading Innovations in Science and Technology (JLISNT) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing and academic integrity. The journal follows internationally accepted ethical guidelines based on the recommendations of the
Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects authors, editors, and reviewers to strictly adhere to these principles.
JLISNT publishes original, peer-reviewed research articles and ensures that all submitted manuscripts undergo a fair, unbiased, and confidential peer-review process.
1. Editorial Responsibilities
The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board are responsible for safeguarding the quality and integrity of the journal.
Editors shall:
• Evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
• Ensure a transparent and unbiased peer-review process.
• Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and author information.
• Avoid discrimination based on nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs.
• Not use unpublished information for personal research without written permission from the author.
• Address ethical complaints and misconduct in accordance with publication ethics standards.
• Recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in cases of conflict of interest.
2. Reviewer Responsibilities Reviewers contribute significantly to maintaining the scientific quality of the journal.
Reviewers must:
• Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
• Treat manuscripts as confidential documents.
• Not share or distribute manuscripts without editorial permission.
• Identify relevant work not cited by the authors.
• Report suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns to the editor.
• Decline review when conflicts of interest exist.
3. Author Responsibilities
Authors submitting manuscripts to JLISNT must ensure that:
• The manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere.
• All references and sources are properly cited.
• Authorship is limited to individuals who made significant scholarly contributions.
• Data presented are accurate and not fabricated, falsified, or manipulated.
• Proper acknowledgments are provided.
• Any significant error discovered after publication is promptly reported.
Authors may be required to submit raw data for editorial review and should retain research data for verification.
4. Plagiarism Policy
JLISNT maintains a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism.
Plagiarism includes:
• Copying text, figures, tables, or ideas without proper citation
• Self-plagiarism or redundant publication
• Improper paraphrasing
• Data fabrication or falsification
All manuscripts are screened using professional plagiarism-detection software.
Similarity Guidelines
• Up to 10% similarity (excluding references): Acceptable
• 10–25% similarity: Returned to authors for revision
• Above 25% similarity: Immediate rejection
If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted and the author’s institution may be notified. The authors may also be barred from future submissions.
5. Duplicate and Multiple Submission
Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal is strictly prohibited. Any duplicate publication will result in rejection or retraction.
6. Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could influence the manuscript evaluation. Undisclosed conflicts may lead to rejection or retraction.
7. Confidentiality
Editors and reviewers must not disclose any information regarding submitted manuscripts except to those directly involved in the editorial and peer-review process.
8. Human and Animal Ethics
For research involving humans or animals:
• Authors must obtain approval from an appropriate Institutional Ethics Committee.
• Informed consent must be obtained where applicable.
• Ethical approval details must be clearly stated in the manuscript.
9. Corrections, Retractions, and Misconduct
The journal will take necessary action in cases of publication misconduct:
• Minor errors: Publication of Erratum/Corrigendum
• Serious ethical violations: Article retraction
• Severe malpractice: Institutional notification and submission ban
Retracted articles will remain accessible but clearly marked as “Retracted” to preserve the
scholarly record.
10. Copyright and Open Access
Authors retain copyright while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the article. All publications follow the journal’s open-access and licensing policy.
